Semarang Law Review (SLR), ISSN Online: 2723-6447, is a national scientific journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Semarang. The journal aims to disseminate and advance legal scholarship by providing a platform for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and law students to publish studies on the development of law and society in Indonesia.
SLR was first published in 2020, with the April edition publishing 10 articles in Indonesian. Since its establishment, the journal has focused on publishing legal research and conceptual studies that advance legal knowledge and practice in Indonesia. SLR has consistently implemented a full open-access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to the public without subscription or payment barriers, thereby enhancing the dissemination, visibility, and impact of scholarly work at both national and international levels.
Following the completion of the 2023 journal accreditation evaluation, SLR officially obtained SINTA Rank 4 accreditation based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology Number 72/E/KPT/2024 dated April 1, 2024, concerning the Accreditation Rankings of Scientific Journals for Period I of 2024. After achieving this accreditation status, the journal increased its publication capacity to 18 articles in each issue starting in 2024.
Initially, SLR was published twice a year in April and October. In order to expand scholarly dissemination and accommodate the increasing number of quality submissions, starting in 2026 SLR publishes three issues annually, namely April, August, and December.
