Semarang Law Review ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of its scholarly content through reliable archiving systems.
The journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) systems to establish a distributed archiving framework among participating libraries. This system enables the creation of permanent archives to ensure long-term digital preservation and content restoration in the event of data loss or system failure.
All materials stored within the CLOCKSS Archive and the Global LOCKSS Network are preserved with explicit permission from the publisher, secured through written agreements or formal online permission statements. The journal collaborates closely with LOCKSS network implementers to support the development of appropriate governance structures and legal frameworks that reflect the nature of the content, applicable jurisdictions, intellectual property rights, and access provisions.
In addition, authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their manuscripts (pre-print, post-print, and published version) in institutional or subject-based repositories, ensuring broader accessibility and long-term availability of scholarly work.
