About the Journal
Semarang Law Review (SLR) is a national journal published by the Faculty of Law, Universitas Semarang. The journal’s focus and scope encompass Corporate Law, Civil Law, Islamic Law, Customary Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, International Law, Comparative Law, Philosophy of Law, Procedural Law, and Agrarian Law. SLR serves as a scholarly platform for students of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Semarang to publish their best academic works and to contribute meaningful legal insights toward the development of a better legal system.
The journal is published biannually, in April and October, and accepts manuscripts written in Indonesian. Submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editors to determine their conformity with the submission guidelines of SLR. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s stylistic and substantive requirements are subsequently forwarded for peer review.
Semarang Law Review (SLR) applies a double-blind peer review system, involving a number of expert reviewers in relevant legal fields. The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is fully determined by the editor, taking into account the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Manuscripts that have been accepted and are ready for publication will be published regularly through the journal’s website, and a hardcopy edition will be issued for each publication cycle.
The estimated time from manuscript submission to notification of acceptance or rejection is approximately 16–20 weeks.
