About the Journal
Semarang Law Review (SLR) is a national academic journal published by the Faculty of Law, Semarang University, with the primary objective of disseminating and advancing knowledge in the field of law. This journal aims to provide a platform for academics, researchers, legal practitioners, and law students at Semarang University who are interested in the study of legal developments and societal issues in Indonesia. In its efforts to support the advancement of legal studies in Indonesia, SLR offers relevant concepts and ideas that contribute to the development of legal science, which can be applied within the social, political, and cultural context of Indonesia.
SLR focuses on interdisciplinary legal studies, covering a wide range of topics such as positive law, legal theory, international law, constitutional law, as well as various legal issues related to social change and societal development in Indonesia. The journal strives to present critical and solution-oriented perspectives that are not only beneficial for the advancement of legal knowledge but also for the development of legal practice and policy in Indonesia.
The journal is published twice a year, in April and October, with each article written in the Indonesian language. SLR accepts articles derived from research, literature reviews, and other scholarly works related to legal development and social justice issues in Indonesia. The article selection process is rigorously conducted through a peer-review system to ensure high academic quality and the relevance of the topics covered.
Once accepted for publication, manuscripts will be regularly published online via the journal’s official website, providing greater accessibility and distribution to a wider audience, particularly academics, practitioners, and other stakeholders. Additionally, hardcopy publications will be issued for each volume.
Through these efforts, Semarang Law Review is committed to becoming a leading legal journal that makes a significant contribution to the development of legal science in Indonesia, as well as serving as a communication medium that connects academics and legal practitioners in advancing the legal system in the country.
