Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang upaya Polrestabes Kota Semarang dalam menanggulangi tindak pidana pencurian dengan kekerasan oleh anak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian hukum yuridis empiris. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui wawancara dan studi pustaka. Perolehan data diolah menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab anak melakukan tindak pidana pencurian dengan kekerasan di wilayah hukum Polrestabes Kota Semarang dan upaya Polrestabes Kota Semarang menanggulangi tindak pidana pencurian dengan kekerasan oleh anak. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada dua lokasi yaitu Polrestabes Kota Semarang dan Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas 1 Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab anak melakukan tindak pidana pencurian dengan kekerasan dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor yaitu : faktor intrinsik maupun faktor ekstrinsik, Serta upaya Polrestabes Kota Semarang dalam menanggulangi tindak pidana pencurian dengan kekerasan oleh anak, dengan menggunakan tiga upaya yaitu : upaya pre-emtif, upaya preventif, dan upaya represif.
