Revised Manuscript Policy
1. Overview and Applicability
Authors whose manuscripts receive an official editorial decision of Minor Revision or Major Revision are required to revise their work in accordance with the comments, critiques, and recommendations provided by the Handling Editor and Peer Reviewers.
To maintain transparency, ensure scientific rigor, and facilitate efficient re-evaluation, authors must strictly follow the revision guidelines and file formatting requirements outlined in this policy.
2. Revision Timeframe & Submission Deadlines
- Minor Revision Deadline: Authors granted a Minor Revision decision must submit their revised manuscript package within 7 to 14 calendar days from the date of the decision notification.
- Major Revision Deadline: Authors granted a Major Revision decision must submit their revised manuscript package within 14 to 30 calendar days, depending on the extent of additional experiments, theoretical rework, or data analysis required.
- Extension Requests: If additional time is required due to extraordinary research circumstances, the corresponding author must request an extension in writing to the editorial office prior to the original deadline. Unapproved late submissions may be treated as new submissions or declined.
3. Required Revision Documents
When submitting a revised manuscript package through OJS, authors must upload three (3) mandatory files:
3.1. Tracked Revised Manuscript (Highlighted Edits)
A Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) of the updated manuscript in which all edits, additions, and deletions are clearly highlighted. Authors must use the "Track Changes" feature in Microsoft Word (or explicit text background highlighting/colored font) so that reviewers and editors can easily identify every modification made.
- Important Note: Authors must NOT accept all changes or disable "Track Changes" in this file before submission.
3.2. Point-by-Point "Response to Reviewers" Document
A comprehensive, structured document addressing every comment provided by the Editor and Peer Reviewers.
- Authors must use the official template: Download Response to Reviewers Template (Google Docs).
- For each reviewer comment, authors must provide a clear response detailing the exact changes made and stating the corresponding page, section, paragraph, or line numbers in the revised manuscript.
- If authors disagree with a reviewer's suggestion, they must provide a polite, evidence-based, and academically justified explanation rather than omitting the critique.
3.3. Updated Similarity Reports
An updated Turnitin/iThenticate Similarity Report, which shows an overall similarity score of below 20%, is specifically for the revised version of the manuscript.
4. Technical OJS 3.5 Submission Procedure
All revised materials must be uploaded directly through the journal's OJS 3.5 manuscript management system:

- Ensure all files are correctly labeled and click "Complete" to submit the revision package to the Handling Editor.
5. Revision Compliance and Quality Checks
The Editorial Office will inspect all incoming revision packages during pre-evaluation desk checks. A revised submission will be returned to the author without re-review if:
- The Tracked Manuscript version with highlighted edits is missing or has all changes pre-accepted;
- The Response to Reviewers document is incomplete, vague, or fails to address specific comments;
- Discrepancies exist between the clean version and the tracked version;
- Updated Turnitin similarity or AI detection reports are omitted;
- The revisions do not adequately reflect the scientific feedback requested.
Disclaimer: The submission of a revised manuscript and response document does not guarantee final acceptance. All major revisions remain subject to a second round of double-blind peer review.
