Author Guidelines

Transformatika: Journal of Transformative Intelligent Systems and Informatics invites authors to submit original research that has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere. Submissions must adhere to the following technical and ethical guidelines.

1. General Requirements

  • Language: All manuscripts must be written in professional academic English or Indonesian.
  • Length: Manuscripts should be between 8 to 15 pages, including references.
  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format, following the journal's official template (Inggris | Indonesia)
  • Similarity Index: All submissions will be screened for plagiarism. The maximum similarity index allowed is 20% (excluding references).

2. Statement of Originality (Mandatory)

  • Requirement: Transformatika requires a signed Statement of Originality for every manuscript submission, following the document's template described in the Statement of Originality page.
  • Purpose: This document supports academic integrity and publication ethics.
  • Procedure: Authors must download the originality statement form provided on the journal's website, sign it (on a duty stamp/materai if required by local regulations), and upload it as a Supplementary File during the submission process in OJS.

3. Manuscript Structure (IMRaD)

The manuscript should be organized as follows:

  • Title: Concise, informative, and reflects the "transformative" aspect of the research (Max 10 words).
  • Abstract: A single paragraph (150-250 words) containing: Background, Objective, Method, Results (key findings), and Conclusion.
  • Keywords: 3-5 keywords, separated by semicolons (;).
  • Introduction: State the research background, the gap in the current literature (State of the Art), and the specific objective/novelty of the study.
  • Methods: Provide sufficient detail for the work to be replicated. For Transformative Intelligent Systems, include algorithm pseudocode or architecture diagrams.
  • Results and Discussion: Present results clearly using tables and figures. The discussion should compare findings with previous studies and explain the "so what" factor.
  • Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and suggest future research directions.
  • References: Minimum of 15-20 references, with at least 80% from primary sources (journal articles) published within the last 5-10 years.

4. Tables, Figures, and Equations

  • Tables: Tables should be in editable text format (not images), created using the "Table" menu in Word and follow the "three-line table" (horizontal lines only) style for a professional look. Table titles are placed above the table.
  • Figures: Figure titles are placed below the figure. All figures must be high resolution (min. 300 dpi) and should not have frames.
  • Equations: Must be created using Microsoft Equation. Equation numbers are written in parentheses on the right side of the equation.
  • Algorithms: Programs or algorithms should be written in Courier New font with a maximum size of 10 pt.

5. Citation and Reference Manager

  • Style: Use IEEE Style (numbered) consistently.
  • Tools: Authors must use a reference management tool such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. Submissions without proper metadata from these tools may be returned.

6. Submission Process

Submissions are only accepted through the Online Submission system at our OJS website (https://journals.usm.ac.id/index.php/transformatika). Authors must "Register" as "Author" and follow the step-by-step upload process.
