Milestone & Historical Chronology

  • 2004 (First Publication & P-ISSN):
    TRANSFORMATIKA Journal was first published in 2004 and obtained its Print ISSN (P-ISSN: 1693-3656) in the same year. Since its inception, the journal has consistently maintained a biannual publication schedule in January and July.

  • 2012 (Institutional Collaboration):
    The journal expanded its reach by collaborating with several higher education institutions and universities in Semarang to enhance article quality and diversify author contributions beyond Universitas Semarang.

  • 2015 (E-ISSN & Focus Refinement):
    Transformatika obtained its Electronic ISSN (E-ISSN: 2460-6731) . In the same year, the journal redefined its Focus and Scope, expanded its peer-reviewer network, and enhanced editorial quality standards in pursuit of national accreditation.

  • 2016 – 2017 (Cover Design Evolution):
    The journal updated its cover design three times to establish a modern brand identity:

    • Vol. 13 No. 2 (January 2016): Introduced a new yellow-themed background;
    • Vol. 14 No. 1 (July 2016): Updated layout and typography;
    • Vol. 15 No. 1 (July 2017): Established the refined cover identity.

  • July 2026 (Vol. 24 No. 1 - Enhanced Template & Submission Checklist):
    Starting with Vol. 24 No. 1 (July 2026), Jurnal Transformatika implemented an updated manuscript template featuring improved structural formatting, and an integrated Submission Checklist to streamline pre-review screening.

  • July 2026 (Vol. 24 No. 1):
    Starting with Vol. 24 No. 1 (July 2026), Jurnal Transformatika implemented a peer-review process with two (2) independent reviewers.

  • July 2026 (OJS Platform Upgrade to 3.5):
    In July 2026, the journal upgraded its publishing infrastructure from Open Journal Systems (OJS) 3.3 to OJS 3.5. This upgrade brought enhanced workflow automation, improved UI responsiveness, integrated AI usage disclosures, and better metadata synchronization with indexing databases.

  • January 2027 (Vol. 24 No. 2 - ARJUNA Accreditation Compliance Template):
    Beginning with Vol. 24 No. 2 (January 2027), Jurnal Transformatika adopted a fully revised article template designed to strictly comply with national journal accreditation standards under ARJUNA (Permendiktisaintek No. 9 Year 2026 and Kepdirjensaintek No. 374/2026), incorporating strict IEEE citation standards, explicit AI policy declarations, and open data availability statements.
