Revised Manuscript Policy
Authors whose manuscripts receive a decision of Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Revision Required are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the comments and recommendations provided by the Editor and/or Reviewers of Jurnal Ius Constituendum (JIC).
To ensure transparency and facilitate the evaluation of revisions, authors are required to use the "Track Changes" function in Microsoft Word when preparing the revised manuscript. Track Changes must remain activated throughout the revision process so that all additions, deletions, modifications, and other substantive changes can be identified by the Editor and Reviewers.
Required Revision Files
Authors are required to submit the following four documents:
- Revised Manuscript with Track Changes
A revised version of the manuscript in which all changes made in response to the Editor's and Reviewers' comments remain visible through the Microsoft Word Track Changes function.
- Clean Revised Manuscript
A clean version of the revised manuscript in which all revisions have been incorporated and Track Changes, comments, and other revision marks have been removed.
- Response to Reviewers
A point-by-point response addressing all comments and recommendations provided by the Editor and Reviewers. Authors should clearly explain the revisions made and, where appropriate, indicate the relevant page, section, paragraph, or other location of the changes in the revised manuscript. If a comment is not adopted, authors must provide a clear and academically justified explanation.
- Turnitin Similarity Report and AI Detection Report
Authors must attach the latest Turnitin similarity report and AI detection report for the revised manuscript. These reports must correspond to the revised version of the manuscript and be submitted as supporting documents for editorial evaluation. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the reports are complete, legible, and generated from the manuscript being submitted.
Important
Authors must not disable Track Changes or accept all changes before submitting the tracked version of the revised manuscript. The tracked version must accurately reflect all modifications made after the previous submission.
The Turnitin similarity report and AI detection report must also be included in the revision submission. These reports will be considered as part of the editorial evaluation and do not, by themselves, determine whether a manuscript will be accepted or rejected.
If an author disagrees with a comment or recommendation from a Reviewer, the author should provide a clear and academically justified explanation in the Response to Reviewers rather than simply omitting the requested revision.
Revision Compliance
The Editorial Team of Jurnal Ius Constituendum (JIC) may return a revised manuscript to the author for correction or completion if:
- The required Track Changes version is not provided.
- The revised manuscript does not clearly indicate the changes made.
- The Response to Reviewers is incomplete or does not adequately address the comments received.
- The clean version and tracked version are inconsistent.
- The Turnitin similarity report and/or AI detection report is missing.
- The revisions do not adequately address the comments provided by the Editor and/or Reviewers.
Failure to comply with the revision requirements may delay further editorial evaluation. Where necessary, the Editorial Team may request additional revisions or supporting documents before making a final editorial decision.
The use of Track Changes and the submission of similarity and AI detection reports are intended to facilitate editorial evaluation, improve transparency in the revision process, support the assessment of manuscript originality, and enable Editors and Reviewers to verify efficiently whether their comments and recommendations have been adequately addressed.
