Extreme climate change and large-scale urbanization in coastal cities such as Pekalongan have caused uncertainty in the spatiotemporal patterns of surface temperature and rainfall, threatening the sustainability of the urban environment. This study employs a novel method by integrating multi-sensor data (MODIS-LST and CHIRPS) based on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform to map microclimate anomalies in near real-time during the early transition phase of 2024. Statistical analysis and data visualization were used to detect surface temperature trends and their linear correlations with rainfall intensity. The analysis showed that surface temperature peaks occurred on DOY 40, 90, and 100, with values reaching ±35°C, while the highest accumulated rainfall was recorded in March at 4035.48 mm. The research findings clearly confirm the presence of an Urban Heat Island (UHI) and significant local drought risk in densely built-up areas. These findings serve as an empirical basis for policymakers to design climate change adaptation strategies and plan for a more resilient and sustainable urban space in Pekalongan City.
