Penguatan Pemahaman Warga Kelurahan Tlogosari Kulon, Kota Semarang tentang Aspek Hukum Tindak Pidana Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga

Abstract

One of the problems that occur in married life is domestic violence. Domestic violence has become a prevalent issue in recent times. The violence that occurs is not only physical, but also verbal. Another problem arises when the victim justifies the violence. Tlogosari Kulon Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City, where this Community Service activity was carried out, a place where domestic violence often occurs, based on information obtained by the Community Service Team and requests for this Community Service activity to be carried out. One of the problems faced by the community when domestic violence occurs is  lack of knowledge about what actions to take when violence occurs. The method we used in this case was education or teaching. From this problem, the USM Community Service Team concluded that this Community Service activity would be important to raise awareness that domestic violence is not a justification for the problem. The victims must also be aware of the losses and suffering they are experiencing. Therefore, upholding equality, justice, and humanity, we carry out this Community Service activity. Based on the results of processing questionnaires given to 26 residents Tlogosari Kulon Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City regarding the Legal Aspects of Domestic Violence Crimes, both before and after the counseling session showed an increase in understanding of 61.2%. This increase in understanding shows that there was a positive response from the participants of the counseling session in Tlogosari Kulon Village, Pedurungan District, Semarang City regarding the Legal Aspects of Domestic Violence Crimes.
