The demand for backbone networks capable of handling high capacity and reliability is increasing in line with the growth of digital services. Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology has emerged as a leading solution due to its ability to transmit multiple optical signals through a single fiber. However, the planning process for DWDM backbone networks is often conducted separately, involving independent calculations of network performance, route visualization, and device requirement estimation (BoM). This disintegration can lead to data inconsistency, longer planning time, and difficulties in decision-making. This study aims to develop a web-based system that integrates the entire DWDM network planning process, from technical calculations (power budget, rise time budget, link margin, total loss, and OSNR), interactive route visualization using digital maps, to optical device estimation. The system is developed using Python with the support of libraries such as Pandas, Flask, and Leaflet.js. A case study was conducted on the BSD–Serang route involving 13 nodes. The test results show that the system is capable of producing accurate and consistent calculations in accordance with technical standards, interactive and informative route visualization, and well-structured BoM estimation that can be downloaded in Excel format. Based on system testing, the functional suitability achieved a score of 100%, and the average usability score was 82.75 based on the System Usability Scale, classified in the Excellent category.
