Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism
Economics and Business Solutions Journal (EBSJ) does not permit plagiarism or self-plagiarism. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts.
- Plagiarism and self-plagiarism are prohibited.
- Authors must ensure that their work is original. Any use of the words, ideas, or work of others must be properly cited or quoted.
- Authors should not publish substantially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Proper acknowledgment must be given to the work of others, including publications that have influenced the reported research.
Plagiarism Screening Process
1. Manual Screening
The Editorial Team checks submitted manuscripts against offline and online sources, including manual examination of citations and quotations.
2. Similarity Check Using Turnitin
The Editorial Team screens manuscripts using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity score of more than 25% will be rejected immediately in accordance with the journal's stated screening policy.
Retraction Policy
Articles published in EBSJ may be retracted when there is reliable evidence of serious publication misconduct or other circumstances that undermine the integrity of the scholarly record. Grounds for retraction include:
- Clear evidence that the findings are unreliable because of a major error, such as a miscalculation or experimental error, or because of fabrication or falsification, including image manipulation.
- Plagiarism.
- Prior publication of the findings elsewhere without appropriate attribution, disclosure to the editor, permission to republish, or adequate justification, including cases of redundant publication.
- Inclusion of material or data without the necessary authorization for use.
- Copyright infringement or other serious legal issues, such as libel or violations of privacy.
- Reporting of unethical research.
- Publication based solely on a compromised or manipulated peer review process.
- Failure by the author(s) to disclose a major competing interest or conflict of interest that, in the editor's view, could have unduly affected the interpretation of the work or recommendations by editors and reviewers.
Retraction Guidelines
EBSJ follows the retraction guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Further information is available in the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
