PERAN SOSIAL MEDIA DALAM KOMUNIKASI JARAK JAUH ANTARA ANAK DENGAN ORANG TUA

Abstract

This article attempts to explain in depth the role of social media in long-distance communication between children and parents. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation and interviews This research uses the theory of Social Media and Dialectics of Relationships to obtain results from Social Media as a communication tool. The research results show that the media has not been able to replace the role of parents as a forum for communication in the family. This is due to the limited internet network experienced by media users, so that long distance communication experiences obstacles.
