About the Journal

Civil Engineering and Natural Hazards Journal (CENH) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal managed by the Master’s Program (S2) in Civil Engineering, Universitas Semarang. The journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and students to publish high-quality scientific works in the field of civil engineering and natural hazards.

CENH focuses on the publication of original research articles, case studies, and scientific reviews related to the advancement of civil engineering, particularly those associated with disaster risk reduction, hazard analysis, and resilience development. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Structural engineering and disaster-resilient design
  • Geotechnical engineering and soil stability
  • Construction management and risk mitigation
  • Hydrology and water resources engineering
  • Transportation and sustainable infrastructure
  • Environmental engineering and climate change
  • Natural hazard analysis and disaster management (e.g., earthquakes, floods, landslides)

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of the published articles. The journal adopts an open access policy, allowing free and unrestricted access to its content for the global scientific community.

CENH aims to become a reputable scientific platform for disseminating knowledge and fostering innovation in civil engineering, particularly in developing resilient infrastructure systems in disaster-prone regions such as Indonesia.
