Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to  double-blind reviewers. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer's recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.

The Editor-in-Chief of Jurnal Pengabdian KOLABORATIF has the right to decide which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published.

Review Process:

  1. The author submits the manuscript
  2. Editor evaluation  [some manuscripts are rejected or returned before the review process]
  3. The double-blind peer review process
  4. Editor decision
  5. Confirmation to the authors

The process for reviewing a manuscript typically takes 4 to 12 weeks on average, depending on how long the editor and external independent reviewers take to complete their assessments. If an author has yet to receive confirmation from Jurnal Pengabdian KOLABORATIF after a prolonged period, they can reach out for updates via email at jurnalkolaboratif@usm.ac.id or Whatsapp.
