POLISI INDONESEIA DI FILM JAVA HEAT

Abstract

This study was conducted to see how the representation of the Indonesian police is shown in the Java Heat film scene. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The results of the study show that the police depicted in the Java Heat film are a tool to improve the image of the Indonesian police. The police are depicted as firm but friendly individuals, with minimal weapons and attributes. This depiction on the one hand reduces conflicts involving the police in Indonesia.
