Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to improve the psychological well-being and professionalism of high school teachers at the UPGRIS Laboratory through positive psychology training focused on a culture of gratitude. This training aims to maintain the mental health of teachers by exploring their potential for gratitude, thereby improving their mental and emotional well-being. Through techniques such as gratitude journaling, mindfulness exercises, and group discussions, the training is expected to help teachers appreciate small moments, create a positive atmosphere in the workplace, and strengthen relationships with colleagues. With a positive perspective, teachers are expected to experience a significant impact in their teaching, bring better energy to the classroom, and promote a culture of gratitude at school and at home. Teacher mental health is also crucial for the well-being of their families and communities. The PkM team from the psychology faculty conducted this training as a solution to improve teachers' self-understanding and skills, who had previously felt resigned to daily activities. The training process included lectures, discussions, and practice. The results of the community service program showed a 40% increase in understanding of gratitude, resulting in teachers being more mentally healthy and able to overcome challenges in daily activities, as well as better understanding themselves and their surroundings.
