Rice field extensification program in Central Kalimantan represents a strategic initiative for achieving national food sovereignty, requiring comprehensive water balance analysis. This research analyzes water availability and irrigation requirements for 894.04 ha extensification area in Pematang Limau Village, Seruyan Regency using hydrological analysis based on rainfall data from Iskandar Meteorological Station period 2014-2023. Log Pearson Type III probability distribution was selected through Smirnov-Kolmogorov and Chi-Square tests, yielding design rainfall of 152.07 mm for 100-year return period. Rational method produced design flood discharge of 4.83 m³/sec, determining irrigation channel dimensions with base width 3.671 m and effective depth 1.836 m. Water balance analysis using Mock method indicates water availability of 84,654.79 m³/sec can meet irrigation requirements of 12,152.92 m³/sec with surplus of 72,501.87 m³/sec for rice-rice cropping pattern. Irrigation efficiency ranges 75-90% considering water losses in primary, secondary, and tertiary channels. Tidal swamp land characteristics require water gates for controlling inundation depth. Research findings provide technical recommendations for sustainable irrigation systems supporting productivity for regional food security
