Graduate libraries play a strategic role in supporting students’ research activities as part of the implementation of the university’s Tridharma. This study aims to analyze the role of librarians, the forms and management of library services, and the constraints encountered in supporting research activities of graduate students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research was conducted on November 18, 2025, at the Graduate Library of UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta, involving one respondent, namely the librarian responsible for managing library services. Data were analyzed thematically by referring to library service management functions, including organizing, actuating, and coordinating. The findings indicate that the librarian plays a significant role as a research facilitator through circulation services, information retrieval guidance, subject-based collection arrangement, and informal service communication. Despite limitations in human resources, space, and collections, library services are managed in an adaptive manner to meet students’ research needs. This study concludes that graduate librarians have a substantial role in supporting student research, although stronger institutional support is required to optimize library services. The contribution of this study lies in providing empirical insights into graduate library service practices within resource-limited contexts.
