This study aims to analyze the representation of cybercrime in the film Unlocked (2023) using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The primary issue addressed in this research is the vulnerability of personal data in the digital era, portrayed through the story of a data theft victim whose life drastically changes after her phone is hacked. The analysis focuses on the denotative, connotative, and mythological meanings of the film's visual and narrative elements. The findings reveal that Unlocked effectively depicts the threats to digital privacy, the psychological impact on victims, and the complexity of cybercrime in the era of information technology. In conclusion, the film not only provides a realistic portrayal of the dangers of data breaches but also emphasizes the importance of awareness about personal data security in modern digital life.
