Eksistensi Dalihan Na Tolu Dalam Menangani Covid-19 Pada Masyarakat Batak Toba Di Semarang

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is an outbreak that has changed the lives of human interactions around the world, including in Indonesia. This outbreak brings humans to change various fields not only behavior but socio-cultural life in society also undergoes changes. Until now this pandemic outbreak has experienced an increasing increase. In Semarang, people infected with the Covid-19 Virus set Semarang City in the Red Zone category. To cope with the spread of this epidemic Toba Batak people who live in the city of Semarang with the philosophy of life Dalihan Na Tolunya participate. This study aims to determine the existence of the NaTolu pretext as a philosophy of life for the Batak community in handling Covid-19 in the Toba Batak community in Semarang City and the obstacles faced by the Toba Batak community in handling Covid-19 in Semarang City. This type of research is sociological juridical. Field research to obtain primary data was conducted by researching at the research site on the life of the Toba Batak people in Semarang. Data collection is done by conducting interviews with resource persons and distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive analytical methods to answer the problem. Toba Batak society has many uniqueness such as marriage system, kinship system, language and philosophy of life that they uphold, namely Dalihan Na Tolu. Toba Batak people in Semarang maintain and preserve the cultural customs of Dalihan Na Tolu even though they are far overseas. The activities carried out by the Toba Batak community in Semarang city in dealing with Covid-19 use the philosophy of life they have, namely Dalihan Na Tolu. Dalihan Na Tolu is a means of tying a rope of love between the Batak community in Semarang by knowing who is the Hula-hula, Dongan Tubu or Boru makes it easier to carry out activities in handling Covid-19 in the Toba Batak community in Semarang
