The development of Floating Solar Power Plants (FSPP) in Indonesia has significant potential due to high solar radiation intensity and the availability of extensive water areas. This study aims to analyze the techno-economic feasibility of investing in a Floating Solar Power Plant at Wonorejo Reservoir, Tulungagung Regency, East Java, as a strategy for optimizing renewable energy utilization. The floating solar system was designed with a capacity of 10 MW using 18,182 JA Solar JAM72S30550 photovoltaic modules and 40 Sungrow SG250HX-20 inverters. The analysis was conducted using HOMER Pro software combined with manual calculations to evaluate energy production, investment costs, and the economic feasibility of the project. The results show that the system is capable of generating stable electrical energy over a 25-year operational period, with an initial annual production of approximately 14,278 MWh. The total investment cost of the system is estimated at IDR 74,828,180,240, with annual operation and maintenance (O&M) costs of IDR 980,000,000. The economic analysis resulted in a Net Present Value (NPV) of IDR 160,230,391,433, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of approximately 8.19%, and a discounted payback period of around 4.6 years. Based on these results, the floating solar power project at Wonorejo Reservoir is considered economically feasible and promising as a sustainable renewable energy source.
Total biaya investasi sistem diperkirakan sebesar Rp74.828.180.240 dengan biaya operation and maintenance (O&M) tahunan sebesar Rp980.000.000.
