Load imbalance in a three-phase power system can cause increased power losses, temperature increases, and reduced electrical component lifespan. This study aims to analyze the effect of load imbalance on the lifespan of electrical components in a garment industry power distribution system. Data were obtained through current and voltage measurements using a Digital Power Analyzer, then analyzed using the NEMA method. The results showed an average load imbalance of 11.69%, caused by uneven distribution of single-phase loads between phases. This condition has the potential to increase operating temperatures, accelerate insulation degradation, and increase the frequency of electrical component failures. Load balancing simulations showed that redistributing the load between phases can reduce the imbalance value to near-balanced conditions. The results indicate that load balancing is an effective measure to improve the reliability of the power distribution system and extend the lifespan of electrical components. This study contributes to a practical load balancing strategy to improve the reliability of electrical components in industrial distribution systems. The results demonstrate that load balancing is an effective measure for improving the reliability of electrical distribution systems and extending the service life of electrical components.
